Donate money
We rely on our supporters for financial donations to help meet our operational costs. A regular standing order is a great way to support us if that arrangement suits you. It also helps us to know what regular income is expected. Signing up to Gift Aid does of course mean we get an additional 25% on top of your donation – courtesy of the Chancellor.
As you will see in our May 2025 Newsletter, our annual operating costs will rise considerably following the Trustee’s decision to employ a Project Leader to undertake the ‘back-office work. Likely additional cost is £17,000 per year. Whilst we have been prudent over previous years in establishing ‘reserves’ to help towards such likely cost, this money is finite so we shall need to find ways of raising additional funds in the future. We shall of course explore the possibility of grants but these are rarely available for staff costs and are usually very competitive.

We believe in creating sustainable projects that have a lasting impact. Your regular gifts enable us to plan ahead and commit to projects. It’s also an easy way to manage your giving.

You can donate money to the Foodbank through our dedicated People’s Fundraising web page. Money will be forwarded, less a card fee of 22p, directly to Whitchurch Foodbank. People’s Fundraising obtain Gift Aid for us if you are eligible, so that we receive £12.28 for every £10 donated. The People’s Fundraising option is a great vehicle if you want to raise money for Whitchurch Foodbank by organising a sponsorship or other fundraising event.
